Hibernation Nov2011 :)

OK, not much new since the weather changed. AGM is coming up but otherwise not much activity.
Cheers to all the brave souls going sailing these day's. Friends are in Mexico and enjoying the sun. Maybe I should migrate like the Hummingbirds.

A year later

here we are again at the start of a new season. Barry was generous enough to help with repairing the Lasers and getting them ready. 2 Down 1 more to go. Where are all the committed club members?! Lots of work still to be done. This is season 5 for our club. It is make or break this season!

I just bought another antique. It is called an Arrow and looks like a fun 12' dinghy. It is supposed to eat Lasers. We will see :) The Holder 12 needs some cleaning up and then we will put it on the market. Lets see if we can get another Laser into the Fleet this year.

My CAL is ready to go. Lessons anyone?

Cheers!

So...

I attended the Sechelt Sea Festival (to be renamed for next year) a couple of weeks ago. The membership special brought in 4 single and 1 family member. Woohoo we are finally getting there :)
The Cat is up and running. Please let me know if you would like to try since it is not a Club boat (yet?). We also have a Holder 12 in the racks and a donated windsurfer with 2 sails. Maybe i will give windsurfing another try. The CAL 20 is going to tough water this weekend after being dormant for much too long. I will use it as a training and committee boat once it is tested.
More later,
Safe sailing!!

So, Satuday was an epic sailing day. Now I don't mean to use that word lightly but I really mean to say I had a blast! North westerly winds howling down the inlet giving my pounds the lift I needed. I can claim to have had the Laser up on a plane from one side of the inlet to the other. Woohoo!! What a blast. Was sore for the next 2 day's. The Cat is ready. Will do a test run on Saturday to find out if it floats.
See ya all out there. Cheers!
